The University of St. Gallen (HSG) is a research university located in St. Gallen, Switzerland. It specializes in Business Management, Economics, Law, Social Sciences, International Affairs and Computer Science. It was established in 1898. Although one of Switzerland’s smallest universities, just over 9 500 students, HSG has Switzerland’s largest faculty for business administration. HSG consistently ranks as one of the best business schools in Europe.

Kistefos St. Gallen Masterclass Scholarship (KSMS)
KSMS is a scholarship for students who want to pursue a master’s degree at HSG. The scholarship is primarily for students who have top grades from NHH and BI.
It is open to students with other backgrounds as well — on the condition that the candidate qualifies for admission at the master’s level at HSG.
Kistefos Fellowship for Scholars from the Global South
Kistefos Fellowship for Scholars from the Global South is a program that finances the salary of two PHD students or PostDoc fellows at the University of St. Gallen (HSG) for one year. The fellows supported come from a University in the Global South. The fellowship is aimed at students from Africa, i.e. South Africa, Liberia, and Ethiopia.

How to apply
KSMS supports candidates through the application process for admission to the University of St. Gallen. Once the application is submitted, the candidate is welcome to apply for Kistefos St. Gallen Masterclass Scholarship.
Allocation of up to 4 scholarships takes place after admission is confirmed.

Student life
The St. Gallen campus is located on Rosenberg hill, overlooking the old town with a view of the pristine Alps. The area is perfect for outdoor activities such as skiing, hiking, climbing and sailing — also among attractions for architecture and art lovers.
Out of almost 10,000 students at St. Gallen, 25 per cent are international, making the relatively small city a diverse and bustling community.
