On this website, we do not collect personal information. However, Kistefos AS processes information about students who have received our scholarships, including details such as names, photos, contact information, and study locations, in connection with our alumni portal.

About the business

Kistefos AS is a private investment company owned by Christen Sveaas. The company was established in 1998 and manages a diversified portfolio of companies within a variety of industries including offshore, shipping, financial services, technology and real estate. Kistefos’ investment portfolio is managed from Oslo, Norway, and is mainly focused on investments in Europe.

Kistefos is an active supporter of art and education through the Kistefos Museum and scholarship programs at the University of St. Gallen, Harvard Kennedy School, IE University, Stellenbosch University and Rhodes University. In addition, Kistefos regularly supports humanitarian organizations and social entrepreneurship through various initiatives.

About the processing

This website includes an alumni portal that is only accessible to those who have received a scholarship from Kistefos. Here, you can find an overview of who has received our scholarships, with the aim of enabling contact and participation in our alumni network. The website does not collect additional personal information beyond what you may choose to enter yourself in the portal.

As the legal basis for processing personal data in our alumni portal, we adhere to Article 6f of the GDPR, justifying the processing as necessary to pursue legitimate interests, specifically to offer this portal.

We believe that the processing is proportionate and minimally intrusive to the privacy of the registered individuals. According to the principle of transparency, each person has the right to obtain more information about the balancing of interests upon request.

We follow data protection principles, including purpose limitation and data minimization. This means that personal data is only processed for the specified purpose, and processing is limited to what is necessary to achieve that purpose.

The portal is not publicly accessible but is only open to alumni who log in with an email address previously shared with Kistefos.
