Kistefos Young Talented Leader Scholarship
This scholarship helps future innovators from Norway, Ethiopia, Liberia, and South Africa unleash their potential. It is available to students pursuing master’s degrees in various fields.
For Norwegian applicants, the scholarship is for students pursuing a Master in either Management, International Relations, International Development, or in Business Analytics and Big Data. Norwegian applicants also need to demonstrate an international outlook, leadership qualities and a desire to use their education to positive effect post-graduation.
For applicants from Ethiopia, Liberia and South Africa, the scholarship is reserved for students working on a master’s in Management, a master’s in International Relations, a master’s in International Development, or a master’s in Business Analytics and Big Data. African applicants must have an academic excellence, a strong capability for leadership and entrepreneurial spirit demonstrate outstanding achievements in their personal and professional lives that have impacted their country and community.
How to apply
Only students who have already qualified for acceptance into IE University may apply.
For Norwegian applicants, the scholarship is for students pursuing a Bachelor in Business Administration, Information Systems Management, International Relations or PLE (Politics, Law and Economics).
Students working on a Master in Management, a Master in International Relations, a Master in International Development or a Master in Business Analytics and Big Data can receive support from the school for the duration of their course.
For applicants from Ethiopia, Liberia and South Africa, the scholarship is reserved for students working on a master’s in Management, a Master in International Relations, a Master in International Development or a Master in Business Analytics and Big Data.
All applications must go through the IE University Online Scholarship Application Platform.
Students from Norway
Students must be citizens or permanent residents of Norway and have a proven financial need for the scholarship to be eligible.
They also need to demonstrate an international outlook, leadership qualities and a desire to use their education to positive effect post-graduation.
Potential bachelor candidates must have been admitted into IE University and have gained or expect a 3.6 GPA or IB score of 38+.
For master’s degree students, the scholarship is open to those who wish to undertake a postgraduate degree at IE University and demonstrate an outstanding academic record, with a minimum GPA of 3.5/4, 4.5/5.
Students from Ethiopia, Liberia and South Africa
Citizens of Ethiopia, Liberia and South Africa with a track record of academic excellence, a strong capability for leadership and entrepreneurial spirit are welcome to apply.
They should demonstrate outstanding achievements in their personal and professional lives that have impacted their country and community.
They also need to demonstrate an outstanding academic record, with a minimum GPA of 3.5/4, 4.5/5.
Student life
A variety of accommodations are available, ranging from student housing to private flats and housing with a local family. Although the student centre recently relocated from Barrio de Salamanca to the north of Madrid, many still prefer to remain in the area due to the range of residential and leisure options.
There are numerous extracurricular activities with more than 100 clubs ranging from arts to sports and a pick of more than 1,500 yearly events. The city of Madrid itself is one of Europe’s most vibrant capitals.
